Good Morning, Golden! Happy official Summer! Summer Solstice (last Saturday) marked the longest day of sunlight and the official start to summer. This week and next, I’m keeping it short and sweet. Even geese need vacations, and this one has migrated to the lands of 24/7 sunlight in Norway for a little adventuring.

SUNDAY (6/29)

• 🥬 Country Market at Golden Outpost (6/29 @ 10am-3pm) - Features locally grown produce, cottage law food products, and local craft artisans.

🚴 Around Golden: The Golden Bike Cruise

This is the one cycling event on the Front Range where cycling shorts and speed are discouraged. Less Tour de France, more Tour de Fun. No need to be an elite athlete. No need to draft…but trust me, you will be drafting…behind an e-bike carrying an adult, three kids, and a sidecar of tiny bikes and snacks. It’s truly impressive. So buckle those helmets and roll into one of Golden’s favorite summer traditions TOMORROW! 🙌

This event is about both the journey and the destination. There’s something magical about cruising through town with (wild guess here) over 100 fellow Goldenites. Pedal at record-breaking slow speeds, toss a frisbee at the New Loveland Mine Park pit stop, then carry on to the after-party of champions: food, live music, and a well-earned beverage.

Costumes HIGHLY encouraged, but sense of humor, helmets, and your hog 🚲 are the only things you need to bring. Ride on, Golden cruisers! 🤘
