πŸŒ• The Worm Goose Moon

Tonight through early tomorrow, the full moon will slip into Earth's shadow, creating a total lunar eclipse visible across the U.S. and much of the Western Hemisphere. As the moon moves through Earth's umbra, it will glow a deep red, earning the nickname "Blood Moon." No special equipment is neededβ€”just step outside and look up!

The eclipse begins with a partial phase about an hour before totality, which starts at 12:26 a.m. MDT and lasts for 65 minutes.

March’s full moon is known as the "Worm Moon", marking the season when earthworms and beetle larvae emerge. Native American tribes have also called it the Eagle Moon, Goose Moon(!), and Wind Strong Moon, reflecting the natural rhythms of early spring. However you name it, this is one lunar event you won’t want to miss!
