🍺 UllrGrass This Weekend

This weekend is Golden’s beloved cold-weathered music & beer festival in Parfet Park—UllrGrass. “Named one of the Top Ten Outdoor Music Festivals in Colorado by the Westword, UllrGrass features a diverse lineup of bluegrass, newgrass, funk and jamband artists.”

If you need to purchase tickets, get yours here, and be sure to don your viking apparel for this event.

The Beer Festival is Saturday from noon-4pm, and check out the music schedule for the lineup of your favorite local bands.

Free Radon Test Kits Available - The City of Golden is giving away 25 kits to residents during January as part of the City’s Healthy Housing Initiative. Available at City Hall on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Public Engagement Opportunities this week (both at the Golden Community Center at 5:30pm):

  1. North Ford Complete Street Preferred Alternative Open House (Wed, 1/28) - “The project team will present the preferred alternative developed based on community feedback received to date. This alternative will help inform engineering design work scheduled for 2026”

  2. Rescheduled Open House: Fire Strategic Plan (Thurs, 1/29) - “An informal community meeting focused on the City’s Fire Strategic Plan. This meeting provides an opportunity to learn more about the plan, ask questions, and share feedback that will help shape the future of fire services in Golden.”

Christmas Tree Recycling ends TODAY - “You can drop off your tree at our NEW collection site located at The Splash, 3151 Illinois St., through January 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.”

Women’s Strength Training at Golden Rec Center - "Women's Strength Training is a 4-week, twice-per-week strength training program designed to empower women to build confidence and foundational strength through effective, science-backed training.” Begins March 3 at the Golden Rec Center.
