Good morning, Golden!

TL;DR: The Golden Goose just turned one 🥚. I did some year-end reflecting, felt grateful for what showing up scared created, and refreshed the Goose website for the year ahead. New Year’s events below 🍾. Back to our regularly scheduled programming next week! 📆

As this year comes to a close, I’m firmly in my favorite season: reflection season. For the past few years, I’ve had a few rituals to wrap things up—choosing a theme for the year ahead, a New Year’s Day Clear Creek cold plunge with friends (shoutout to those daily plungers I see 🥶), and, yes, a self-guided (read: internet-assisted) tarot reading 🔮. I love a good reset!

Last year’s theme was about doing the things that sparked curiosity or joy, even if they felt awkward or uncomfortable. One of those things was starting this newsletter—putting my creativity out there and letting my silly goose flag fly. 🎏

A year later, this little goose has officially turned ONE 🥚🎂!

As for that tarot reading…well, I don’t treat it like gospel, but it was annoyingly accurate 🙄—lots of friction, a little stuck-ness, and some necessary self-honesty along the way (isn’t that just life though? 😆). Looking back, that tension was part of what pushed me to try new, scary things—like this.

As part of that same push to grow, I’ve also refreshed the Golden Goose website and am thinking about new ways to make this newsletter even better in the year ahead. If you ever have ideas, feedback, or something you’d love to see more of, I’m all ears.

Sometimes getting unstuck just means trying something small, a little scary, and seeing who shows up.

(Hi. It’s you. And I’m really glad you’re here.)

Cheers to you, new friend.
Here’s to who we are, who we’re still becoming, and another year of curiosity and community. Happy New Year! 🍾🥂🎉
