National Dog Day 🐾

8/25 - Bike Cruise, Mines Students, & Concept Plans

Good Morning, Golden! Mines students start back up today, tomorrow is National Dog Day, and Labor Day weekend is coming in hot! …or rather, rainy. Looks like rain every day through Friday, but that doesn’t change our attitude on the week! Lots to look forward to ahead of the three day weekend (did I mention Golden Bike Cruise is this week?!). So without further ado…here’s what’s going on in Golden.

City Survey Excitement

TLDR: Take the recent survey 👉 here 👈!

Ooooeeee! I don’t always get excited by a survey, but when I do, I dedicate an entire section to it! Let’s talk  The East End Amenities Survey.

It has fun amenities (see below). Beautiful visuals. And questions to get you excited about the future of Golden!

Let’s start with the WHAT…the city is moving its police and municipal building closer to Coors, and as part of the project, they’re reimagining what this section of Clear Creek could be—from Parfet Park to the new building. Survey questions range from individual amenities to the mobility of Water Street (cars or no cars? one way or two way?).

After collecting feedback from the community (see the Goose Post from April & this feedback map), the City presented THREE Concept Plans at last week’s community meeting.

Concept One:

Concept Two:

Concept Three:

So this is your call to action to give your feedback here!
