Good morning, Golden! Do you smell that? …tacos 🌮, flowers 🌸, and subtle notes of goat poop 💩. Ah, yes…May has arrived. We’ve got Cinco De Mayo tomorrow (shoutout to El Dorado Mexican Restaurant, a personal favorite), Mother’s Day on Sunday (consider this your gentle reminder to order flowers), and Baby Goat Night at New Terrain next Wednesday (mark your calendar!).
Other things to look forward to in May…Jefferson County Orchestra’s season finale show (5/17), Golden Bike Cruise starts up again (5/26), and New Terrain’s annual Bluegrass weekend (5/28),
Meanwhile, Mines students are sprinting towards finals, and I’ve been recklessly planting some of my Garden in a Box haul before the sacred Mother’s Day safe zone. Now the weather’s decided to do me dirty with a midweek snow threat. 🤨
May your tacos be plentiful and your plants frost-free. Let’s get to it!
