Good morning, Golden! As we’re already 1.25 years into this relationship, you should probably know I am a BIG Lord of the Rings fan. I just found out Elijah Wood (THE Frodo Baggins) is a DJ now and coming to Denver to do a LOTR, fantasy-themed music event. Pinch me!
Sadly, the event is already sold out (also this has absolutely nothing to do with Golden), but here’s my shameless plug to say that if you’re selling your tickets, I will happily buy them! Why create a free newsletter if you can’t leverage a shameless plug or two? 😉
Now onto our regularly scheduled programming…
In today’s issue:
🧱 Golden Makerspace
🍷 New Romantasy Book Club at Deep Roots
☕ Brew & Burn Club

“Please join us on April 8 at Foothills Art Center [Astor House; from 6-8pm], the epicenter of Golden’s creative scene. We will toast to this next chapter and share more with you about our work ahead with the generous support of the grant.”
In an email that went out to the Golden Maker Social Club friends, The Golden Makers Leadership Team announced they received a $5,000 grant from the City of Golden to help them: “advance our mission of expanding the Maker community and pave the way for a physical Makerspace in our city.”
All are welcome to join! “…makers, tinkerers, artists, builders, entrepreneurs, or just interested in what we are building together in Golden.”
See their new landing page at ➡ www.goldenmakers.org.
🍷 New Romantasy Book Club at Deep Roots
How did I not know about this sooner?! Wine + Romantasy?! A pairing so perfect it deserves its own happily-ever-after.
“Deep Roots Winery is excited to announce its 1st Monthly Dark Romance/Romantasy Book Club beginning March 18th @ 6:30pm. All attendees will receive 15% off any purchases that evening. The book is One Dark Window by Rachel Glilig.”
Between Deep Roots Winery’s Book Club and Cannonball’s Book Club, you’re sure to find community amongst fellow book, wine, and beer lovers!
So many books. So little time.
