Happy 149th Colorado Day

7/28 - Colorado Summit, Colorado Day, Survey Results

Good Morning, Golden! Who got their flapjack fix at the Golden Fire Station on Saturday? This goose sure did—feathered friends and fire trucks make for a pretty delightful morning.

Looking ahead, this Friday marks Colorado’s birthday! So raise a glass and cheers to the 38th state to join the Union. Oooooh, I get State 38 Distilling’s name now (yes, I’m processing this in real time as I write. Welcome to the inter-workings of my weird brain.)🧠 Let’s get to it!

In today’s issue:

  • 📣 The people have spoken!

  • 🥏 Colorado Summit Needs a New Name

  •  📌 Bulletin Board

  • 📆 Events This Week & Upcoming

📣 The people have spoken!

Thank you to everyone who filled out the survey—it really does help. I started this newsletter as a creative outlet and a way to stay in the loop on what’s happening around town. If it helps me feel more connected, I figured maybe it could do the same for you.

Survey results are in…and MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! 100% of respondents have said it makes them feel more connected.

At the heart of it, I hope The Goose brings people together—whether that means showing up for an event, supporting a local cause, or just feeling a little more rooted in this community we all love.

I’ll be incorporating some of the feedback (like ditching Trivia nights) in the coming newsletters, and if you have other ideas or suggestions, I’m all ears!

You can still take part in the survey ➡️ here. 💛

🥏 Colorado Summit Needs a New Name

In “a rare and refreshing show of sportsmanship” as the team called it, The Colorado Summit Ultimate Frisbee Team is handing over their name to the Denver Summit FC, Denver’s future National Women’s Soccer Team.

This means the ultimate frisbee team will go through a rebrand in 2026 and needs your help finding a new name!

To see the current name considerations and give your opinion, take their survey here.
