Good morning, Golden! Hang onto your tail feathers because your social calendar is about to get ambitious. The kind of ambitious where you start penciling things in with optimism and end the week negotiating with yourself about leaving the house after 7pm.
Take a look at the upcoming events and start circling your favorites now: an Adult Book Fair (be still, my nostalgic heart), a Golden Makerspace meetup, e-waste collection (goodbye mysterious drawer of cords), community cleanups, and Mines’ delightfully chaotic cardboard boat races down Clear Creek…just to name a few.

💧Potential Drought Declarations in Golden
The City is conducting a public meeting to address concerns about potential drought declarations in our community on Tuesday, April 7 from 5:30-7:00pm in the Clear Creek Meeting Room at the Golden Community Center.
The City's Drought Management Team will present and take questions from the audience followed by an open house. No registration is required. See post here.
Outside of Golden…Denver Board of Water Commissioners recently declared a Stage 1 drought and is seeking a 20% reduction in water use effective immediately. Some of the requirements include:
Automatic systems should not be turned on until at least mid- to late-May
Single-family residential properties may water no more than two days per week on a set schedule (based on even/odd addresses)
Multifamily properties, commercial properties, homeowners associations and government properties, may water only on Tuesdays and Fridays
