So far, most of you have found The Goose through word of mouth, my poorly maintained Instagram, and a handful of fliers I’ve strategically scattered around downtown. But seeing as this is a free publication with a marketing budget of $0, I’m getting ✨ creative ✨.

Yes, I do this for free because I love it. And somehow, our open rate is in the top 5% of newsletters on Beehiiv 🤯, which tells me you all actually read this thing. The more locals who read The Goose, the more useful it becomes—to the people putting on events, opening businesses, and generally making Golden feel like Golden.

Know one person who routinely says, “Noooo! I missed that Golden event?!”

Golden Women in Business is holding their annual Cocktails & Connections party on September 30 at Goosetown Station. This year’s theme is "I Celebrate Me", an evening dedicated to celebrating who we are, how far we’ve come, and the women who have helped us along the way.

We’ll be gathering in Goosetown’s beautiful mirrored event space for cocktails, light bites, great conversation, and a special performance by Colorado music legend Hazel Miller.

GWIB is full of smart, interesting women who show up for one another with lots of fun along the way.

You don't need to be a member of GWIB to join us. Come on your own or bring a friend. Dress up or dress down, just come! You'll be glad you did.

Ash Borer Treatment Rebate - “City of Golden residents may apply for an approved re-imbursement from the City of Golden (up to $500) for treatment or removal/replacement of eligible ash trees to protect against EAB.”

Help Needed at BGOLDN pantry starting Sep 1 through October - “Volunteers are the lifeline of our programs, and this time of year we run short of your support. Several volunteer shifts are open.” They’re looking for volunteers to fill their food rescue shifts and grocery delivery shifts.
