📋 Quick Survey

Dearest reader, could you please take this quick, 5 question survey? It really helps me improve and make this publication a more enjoyable read. Thank you in advance!

🧪 ChemEd 2025

Molecules won’t be the only things bonding this week. ChemEd 2025 is landing at Mines, marking its first time ever in Colorado.

From their website: “This biennial conference is the largest in North America for educators involved in teaching high school and introductory chemistry. It is an opportunity for educators to gather for five days to learn and exchange their teaching ideas in a friendly and motivating environment. In recent years, the conference attendance has ranged from 400 to 800 educators.”

Also note they’ll be running a 5K on Clear Creek Tuesday morning so the path may be extra busy.

Honestly, the conference looks like a blast! (Should have become a chemist for the puns alone.) Find the program details and more information ➡️ here.

📌 Bulletin Board

Notice: 5K on Clear Creek on Tuesday @ 6-8am - Expect a concentrated group of chemists on the trail Tuesday morning—they’re not fleeing a lab accident, just running a 5K as part of ChemEd 2025 (see above).

ChiliFest2025 at Golden City Brewery - Mark your calendars! The annual Chili Cookoff at GCB will be taking place Saturday, October 11, and all proceeds go to our local food pantry, Golden Pantry and Thrift. If you would like to sign up as a chef, or volunteer please email [email protected].
