Good Morning, Golden! Did you hear? Movie & Music in Parfet Park got a glow-up—hello, fancy new LCD screen! Translation: crystal-clear video and an earlier bedtime now that movies can start before dark. Chef’s kiss. 👨🍳🤌
Also, I’d be remiss not to mention the fantastic turnout at the No Kings protest in Golden this past weekend. Democracy and free speech should never be taken for granted—and it warmed my heart to see our community show up in support of both. 🙌

🎨 ARTSWEEK Golden Festival
This week’s festival is put on by Foothills Art Center and brings 70 artist booths to Parfet Park both Saturday and Sunday from 9am-5pm. Make your list and check it twice because this is an excellent opportunity to do some very early holiday shopping. 😉
And the artist booths are just the grand finale! Check out the other fun events supporting Foothills Art Center…
🍔 Tues @ 11am-8pm - Bob’s Burgers will donate a portion of their sales.
🎪 Wed @ 5-7pm (Free) - Circus aerialists will be dancing in the sky at The Golden Mill, and a portion of their sales will go to Foothills Art Center.
🎵 Fri @ 6:30pm ($10) - Kickoff the weekend with live music at Goosetown Station.

🏃 North Table Trail Race on 6/21 @ 6am
North Table has a trail race! “This scenic and challenging 8.6-mile race supports BeyondHome in helping families build stable, self-sufficient futures through housing, education, and support services.” Registration closes soon so hurry and sign up ➡️ here.
🚂 Golden Summer Jam on 6/25 @ 5pm
Join this celebration at the Colorado Railroad Museum. There will be Golden bands, bites, and beer, as well as vendors and family-friendly fun like train rides. Miners Alley will also be performing a Wild West “train heist.” 🤠 100% of proceeds benefit the Golden community. Put on by the Golden Civic Foundation.
Adults $35 + fees. Kids under 18 are FREE (up to 2 kiddos..so pick your favorite ones. Kidding! $10 for additional kids). Learn more & get your tickets ➡️ here.
⚽️ Bark at the Park on 6/25 @ 7:30pm
Watch the Colorado Rapids take on LA Galaxy with your doggo (in designated pet-friendly areas) while supporting a good cause! Foothills Animal Shelter gets $5 from every hooman ticket. Pet supply donations will also be accepted in exchange for a raffle ticket, and there will be adoptable pets inside the stadium.

East End Amenities Survey - Take this quick survey on what amenities you’d like to see on the East End (from Parfet Park past Vanover Park). Share your thoughts on how you want to see Golden’s parks developed. Closes 6/24.
Summer Help Needed at BGOLDN’s Pantry - “Our Fresh Food Pantry sees higher demand in the summer when school meals aren't available for many families. We need your support to keep our shelves stocked!” Most-needed items: canned soup, diapers (all sizes), baby wipes, egg cartons, large bags of dog food.
Reminders:
Volunteer for the Weekly Clear Creek Cleanup - Every Monday at 7am on the Golden History Museum patio (and Saturdays starting in July), volunteers will be cleaning up the creek. Gear is provided and kids are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Be sure to sign up online for a Volunteer shift here.
Free Farmer’s Market Parking at the School of Mines Lot K - Tell your friends. Tell your second cousins twice removed. Short walk across the creek, but also on the Ore Cart Shuttle line. Free on Saturdays!
Apply to join Golden’s Community Marketing Board - “This newly created board will play a vital role in guiding marketing strategies and investments that promote Golden’s businesses, support economic vitality, and reflect the unique character of our community.” Applications close Monday, June 23 @ 5pm.
