Good morning, Golden. On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we’re reminded that service, justice, and community are not abstract ideas — they’re lived out in our neighborhoods, our conversations, and how we care for one another. With that spirit in mind, below are plenty of reasons to head out, connect, and practice togetherness.

Let’s get into it. 🪿

🏗 State seeks developer for 41 acres

The U-shaped site is bounded on three sides by the Golden golf course and, to the north, a juvenile jail.

Colorado owns 41 acres next to the Fossil Trace Golf Club in Golden and wants to find someone to build housing on it.

The state’s Public-Private Partnership Collaboration Unit, or P3 Unit, sent out a request to developers last month seeking proposals on what could go on a patch of grass just east of Lookout Mountain.

Developers have until 2 p.m. March 17 to submit proposals.
